About The Men and Women of Fortitude Inc.
HISTORY
The Men and Women of Fortitude Inc. was originated in May of 2015. It was formed off of the conversation of three friends (Cameron R. Brown, LaBradford Davis, and Brionna D Sales) about struggles of being in school and the transitions life posed. The organization was officially legalized in May of 2020. The Men and Women of Fortitude Inc. is a group of young adults striving for success; With plans to reach out and help mentor younger generations, while being mentored by people who are in their field of choice. The purpose is to uplift and educate in a manner that speaks to all backgrounds. Each individual will be placed with a mentor they can freely contact to help with their mental, physical, spiritual, and financial growth. The Men and Women of Fortitude Inc. helps the community by helping introduce social norms that will help the members become a successful member of society. It also allows for person(s) lacking support to find the help they need without bias to religion, disability, culture, or financial background.
GOALS
The goals of the program are to enhance critical thinking skills in regards to mental, emotional, financial, physical, and spiritual health. Incorporating educational aspects, new environments will be available for them to explore, expanding their thought process, improving their comprehension and reactions, and mastering fundamental and personal skills. With a solid foundation The Men and Women of Fortitude Inc. will be able to create new habits for the participants personal and professional life; create a sense of pride in one's self and community, and ease the transition into adulthood by showing alternatives to situations they may encounter.
MISSION STATEMENT
As the Men and Women of Fortitude we strive to constantly achieve new heights. Young adults motivating and being encouraging about what life can hold; Showcasing how we can bring change worldwide. We take pride in sculpting young minds and growing all abilities; To further our organization we strive to help each and every person find their “hitch”. We uplift and serve, as we are our brother’sand sister’s keeper. We do not make excuses, nor encourage our kinship’s ignorance. We follow our conscience and light the path for others. We do not show malice in times of mourning, nor shame during celebration. As Men and Women of Fortitude we hold our heads high, never letting our crowns fall though they may falter. Encompassing the goals of our destiny, we shall preserve our existence by fortifying our mind, body, and spirit to withstand the pressures that create diamonds. For our light shines bright into the unknown casting away doubts, uncertainty, and negativity. For I am mighty in my skin, wise in my choices, and free to live vicariously!
